Tour Itinerary
Depart early morning from Rishikesh. Drive along the scenic Alaknanda and Ganga rivers, passing through the famous holy confluences (Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag). Arrive at Govindghat by evening. Check into the hotel/guest house, brief the group, and rest.
Take a short 4 km drive to Pulna village (the starting point of the trek). Begin the 10 km gradual ascending trek along the Laxman Ganga river to Ghangaria. Alternative option: Portors, mules, or helicopter services are available at Pulna for clients who wish to skip the walk. Overnight stay at a hotel/guest house in Ghangaria.
Cross the checkpoint early to enter the official UNESCO World Heritage site. Walk through a stunning 7 km hanging valley carpeted with over 500 species of endemic wildflowers (like the rare blue primula, poppies, and brahmakamal) against a backdrop of snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Pack a light lunch to enjoy inside the valley (no plastic or littering allowed). Return to Ghangaria by late afternoon. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.
Embark on a steep, stone-paved trail to Hemkund Sahib, one of the highest and most sacred Sikh shrines in the world. Sit by the pristine, crystal-clear glacial lake mirroring the surrounding Saptarishi peaks. Enjoy hot tea and khichdi prasad at the Gurudwara langar. Descend back to Ghangaria before weather patterns shift in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.
Trek back down from Ghangaria to Pulna village. Board your vehicles at Pulna and drive down to Govindghat or nearby Joshimath. Enjoy a relaxed evening celebrating the completion of the trek. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Board the vehicle post-breakfast for the return drive to Rishikesh. Arrive in Rishikesh by evening, concluding the SkyGlobals monsoon adventure with unforgettable memories.
