Fly into Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL). Experience views of the snow-crested Stok Kangri range during landing. Meet your representative and transfer to your hotel in Leh ($3,524 m). Complete check-in and receive a traditional welcome with a Khata scarf.Acclimatization Protocol: Spend the entire day resting in bed. Drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water, garlic soup, or oral rehydration fluids. Do not sleep during the afternoon, as light walking inside the room helps maintain higher blood oxygen saturation.Evening: Take a gentle 15-minute walk along the pedestrianized Leh Main Bazaar if feeling well. Stop at the Sangam, the dramatic confluence of the emerald Indus River and the muddy, turbulent Zanskar River. Visit the Hall of Fame Museum, an Indian Army war memorial showcasing military operations in the Siachen Glacier, captured enemy gear, and the cultural heritage of Ladakh.

08:00 AM (Climbing Khardung La): Check out after breakfast and drive north along the historic Silk Route trade path. Ascend the twisting switchbacks to Khardung La Pass ($5,359\text{ m} / 17,582\text{ ft}$), one of the highest motorable mountain roads in the world. Spend a brief 15 to 20 minutes at the summit to photograph prayer flags and the Himalayan panorama. (Spending over 20 minutes at this altitude risks mountain sickness).Descent to Diskit & Hunder: Descend into the fertile river valley of Nubra (3,048 m). Check into your deluxe cottage or luxury camp in Hunder or Diskit.03:30 PM – 06:30 PM (Diskit Monastery & Hunder Sand Dunes): Visit the 14th-century Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest Gompa in the valley. Marvel at the 32-meter (106-foot) statue of Maitreya Buddha gazing over the Shyok River. 07:30 AM (The Scenic Shyok Valley Road): Depart early after breakfast. Drive down the valley to Khalsar and branch onto the dramatic Agyam–Shyok River Road. Travel along steep gorge corridors carved by the glacier-fed Shyok River, passing remote border hamlets including Shyok Village and Durbuk.Reach Pangong Tso ($4,350 m} / 14,270 ft): Ascend through Tangtse into the open plateau of Pangong Tso. Stretching over 134 km (with roughly two-thirds lying in Tibet/China), the lake is famous for its brackish waters that shift through shades of turquoise, cerulean, and emerald blue as the sun angle changes.Late Afternoon & Sunset: Check into your lakefront cottage or luxury insulated dome camp at Spangmik/Lukung.
