Scenic Darjeeling & Gangtok Escape

After breakfast, embark on a day trip to the glacial Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake) at 12,400 ft. Continue to the Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Temple. (Optional: Nathula Pass on the Indo-China border can be visited subject to permit allocation and weather conditions). Return to Gangtok by mid-afternoon. Visit the hilltop Enchey Monastery and the Flower Exhibition Centre. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Post-breakfast check-out. Visit the historic Rumtek Monastery, one of the largest and most significant monastic complexes in Sikkim. Proceed toward West Bengal through lush tea gardens to the "Queen of the Hills," Darjeeling (approx. 3.5–4 hours / 100 km). Check into your hotel. In the evening, explore Chowrasta and Mall Road. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Early morning drive (approx. 4:00 AM) to Tiger Hill for panoramic sunrise views over Mount Kanchenjunga. On the way back, stop at Batasia Loop and the historic Ghoom Monastery. Return to the hotel for breakfast, followed by visits to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (renowned for Red Pandas), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), a local tea garden estate, and the Japanese Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Enjoy breakfast overlooking the hills. Check out and drive downhill through Mirik/Kurseong tea estates to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station (approx. 2.5–3 hours / 70 km) for your onward flight or train.
