Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) by noon. Meet your chauffeur and ascend along the emerald-green Teesta River via the Sevoke Coronation Bridge and Singtam into Gangtok (1,650 m / 5,410 ft). Check into your boutique honeymoon resort. Unpack, freshen up, and enjoy a welcome herbal tea overlooking the valley.

08:00 AM – 02:30 PM (Tsomgo Glacial Lake & Baba Mandir): Drive along the high-altitude Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary along the historic Old Silk Route to sacred Tsomgo Lake (Changu - 3,753 m / 12,310 ft). Admire the oval glacial lake reflecting snow-capped peaks. Take a romantic, colorfully decorated Yak ride along the lake's snow banks or ride the Tsomgo Ropeway (Cable Car) for aerial vistas.
Continue 16 km higher to the sacred Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (13,123 ft), maintained by the Indian Army. (Optional permit supplement: Nathu La Pass at Indo-China border, subject to military permits and Wednesday–Sunday operations).

Chungthang Confluence: Stop at the scenic meeting point of the Lachen and Lachung rivers. Cross into the picturesque mountain hamlet of Lachung (2,700 m / 8,850 ft), surrounded by snow-capped crags, apple orchards, and pine forests.

06:30 AM – 11:30 AM (Yumthang Valley - 11,800 ft): Drive through the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary into the sweeping alpine riverbed of Yumthang Valley. Framed by towering Himalayan peaks and grazing yaks, the valley blooms with dozens of rhododendron and primula species in spring and transforms into a snow wonderland in winter. Visit the natural therapeutic Sulphur Hot Springs across the wooden footbridge.
Optional Excursion to Zero Point (Yumesamdong - 15,300 ft): Continue 23 km further up into the high plateau where civilian roads terminate near the international border. Walk on snow fields amidst 360-degree glaciated peaks.
02:30 PM: Return to Lachung for a late, warm lunch. Visit the historic 19th-century Lachung Monastery and walk through the quiet apple orchards of the village. Bonfire and overnight stay in Lachung.
