Land at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL). Step off the plane into the crisp, thin Himalayan air. Meet your private Ladakhi chauffeur at the terminal gate and transfer to your hotel. Complete check-in, unpack, and settle into your room.
Health Protocol: Dedicate the entire day to complete bed rest. Your body must adjust to the sudden 3,500 m altitude jump to normalize arterial oxygen saturation. Drink 3 to 4 liters of warm water, oral rehydration salts (ORS), and herbal tea. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, or exertion. In the late evening, take a slow 15-minute walk around the hotel courtyard. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
