Assemble by 6:00 AM at the designated SkyGlobals meeting point in Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun. Board your private mountain vehicle and travel along the Badrinath National Highway (NH-07). Stop to view the holy confluence at Devprayag (Bhagirathi meets Alaknanda to form River Ganga) and Rudraprayag (Alaknanda meets Mandakini). Turn onto the Kedarnath Highway (NH-107), following the winding turquoise Mandakini River upstream through Agastyamuni and Kund. Complete mandatory biometric and QR-code Yatra permit verification at the administration checkpoint. Arrive in the scenic valley hub of Guptkashi (4,327 ft) or Phata by late afternoon. Check into your resort, attend a high-altitude preparation and gear briefing, and rest. Dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi/Phata.
The Roadhead: Depart at 4:30 AM to reach Sonprayag. Pass administrative security and take the authorized green-jeep shuttle through the gorge to Gaurikund (6,500 ft), the official trekking roadhead.
The Sacred Ascent: Cross the Mandakini footbridge and begin the continuous 16 km paved stone ascent. The well-laid path features railings, rain sheds, and medical aid posts, passing through Jungle Chatti (4 km), Bheembali (6 km), and the broad valley of Lincholi (11 km).
(Optional Transit: Pre-booked government ponies, palkis/dolis, or helicopter shuttles from Phata/Sirsi/Guptkashi helipads are arranged for seniors or families).
Arrival at the Shrine: Reach Kedarnath Top (11,755 ft) by late afternoon. Check into pre-arranged guest houses or GMVN tourist lodges near the temple perimeter. Wrap in warm layers and gather in the temple courtyard for the powerful evening Sandhya Aarti as the 8th-century stone temple glows against the snow-covered Kedarnath dome. Dinner and overnight stay at Kedarnath.
Wake up at 4:30 AM to join the morning darshan queue. Enter the sanctum sanctorum to offer prayers at the triangular, natural rock hump of the Jyotirlinga. Walk 800 meters uphill to visit the perched cliffside shrine of Bhairavnath Mandir, guardian deity of the valley, offering sweeping views of the temple complex and the Mandakini gorge. Begin the 16 km downhill descent back to Gaurikund, utilizing trekking poles to absorb knee strain. Board the local shuttle from Gaurikund back to Sonprayag, meet your private SkyGlobals vehicle, and drive back to your resort in Guptkashi/Phata for hot baths and a warm dinner. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
A built-in buffer day ensuring that any weather-related helicopter delays or trekking fatigue do not compromise onward travel. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast overlooking the valley. In the afternoon, take a scenic drive to the historic stone temple of Triyuginarayan, the village where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were married in the presence of Lord Vishnu; view the sacred eternal flame (Akhand Dhuni) that has burned continuously since the divine wedding. Return to Guptkashi to tour the ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Ardhanarishwar shrine. Celebratory dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the scenic descent along the Mandakini and Alaknanda river valleys. Stop for lunch at Srinagar or near Kaudiyala. Arrive in Rishikesh / Haridwar (or Dehradun Airport/Railway Station) by 5:30 PM, dropping off at your scheduled train or flight connections to conclude the yatra.
