Tour Itinerary
Pick up all guests from Srinagar Airport or a designated assembly point. Take a scenic 3-hour drive along the Sindh River, passing through fields of golden yellow mustard and chinar trees to reach Sonamarg. Check into the campsite at Shitkadi (just ahead of Sonamarg). Group briefing and overnight stay in alpine tents under the stars.
Begin the trek with a gradual climb through beautiful pine and meadow trails up to 'Table Top' for a stunning bird’s-eye view of the Sonamarg valley. Continue walking along the Nichnai stream to reach the campsite nestled inside a wide, boulder-strewn valley. Overnight stay in tents at Nichnai.
Tackle a steady ascent to the Nichnai Pass (13,100 ft) for sweeping views of the valley walls. Descend into a vast, flower-carpeted meadow where the massive, clear Vishansar alpine lake awaits. Set up camp near the lake. Spend the evening watching the water change colors from turquoise to deep blue.
Pass the twin lake, Krishansar, and begin a steep climb to the highest point of the trek: Gadsar Pass. Enjoy a jaw-dropping view of both lakes sitting side-by-side from the peak. Descend into pristine meadows to reach the untouched Gadsar Lake, famous for its wild floral borders. Pass by an army checkpoint for routine verification. Overnight stay in tents at Gadsar.
Walk through a rolling landscape of rugged terrain and isolated meadows known as Megalithic plains. Arrive at Satsar, a collection of seven interconnected alpine lakes hidden between the mountain folds. Camp at the tranquil Satsar meadows.
Navigate across a series of large boulder fields and climb up to the Zaj Pass (13,500 ft). Look down to see the twin alpine giants: Gangbal and Nundkol lakes, resting directly under the massive, towering wall of Mount Harmukh. Descend to the shores of Nundkol Lake for the final night of camping.
Trek down through thick pine forests and mud trails to the ancient temple town of Naranag. Board your dedicated SkyGlobals vehicles at Naranag and drive back to Srinagar. Drop off at Srinagar airport/hotel by late afternoon, concluding the epic mountain circuit.
