Itinerario del Tour
06:00 AM – 07:30 AM: Pick-up & Transit to Kulem
Board your dedicated private AC vehicle from your hotel or assembly point (North/South Goa hubs). Drive inland toward the foothills of the Western Ghats along NH-748, arriving at the base village of Kulem (Colem).
07:30 AM – 08:30 AM: Breakfast, Forest Entry & Gear Allocation
Enjoy a traditional Goan breakfast (pao bhaji, poori bhaji, or misal with hot chai) at the base camp hub. Meet your certified Goa Forest Department-licensed wilderness guides. Undergo mandatory registration, entry permit clearance, and equip every participant with an ISI-certified high-buoyancy life jacket (mandatory for approaching the splash pool and river crossings).
08:30 AM – 12:00 PM: The Rainforest Ascent & River Crossings (approx. 5.5 km)
Enter the gates of the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Jungle Trail: Trek under a dense canopy of semi-evergreen and moist deciduous trees, listening to the calls of hornbills and emerald doves.
The River Crossings: Wade across three distinct tributaries of the Mandovi River. Fixed safety guidelines, river ropes, and lead guides ensure secure footing over slippery, moss-covered river stones where water levels typically reach knee to waist height.
The Final Approach: The forest trail opens onto rocky moraine banks as the roar of the falls intensifies through the mist.
12:00 PM – 01:30 PM: Dudhsagar Base Pool, Viewpoint & Packed Lunch
Stand at the base of the massive amphitheater as the falls crash down into the emerald plunge pool, sending cool spray across the valley. Watch freight and passenger trains cross the famous arched railway viaduct directly bisecting the upper falls. Rest on the riverbanks to eat a packed lunch (rotis, sandwiches, boiled eggs, energy bars, and fruit) while drying off. (Swimming in the deep plunge pool is subject to on-the-spot flow conditions and forest guard clearance; life jackets must remain fastened).
01:30 PM – 04:30 PM: Downstream Rainforest Descent back to Kulem (approx. 5.5 km)
Begin the return trek downstream along the forest trail before late afternoon cloudbursts intensify river currents. Cross the river sections with guide assistance. Reach the Kulem base camp check-post by 4:30 PM.
04:30 PM – 05:30 PM: Refresh, Hot Snacks & Debrief
Change out of soaked clothing and shoes into dry garments at the Kulem base facility changing rooms. Unwind with hot tea, coffee, and local Goan snacks (mirchi pakodas / samosas).
05:30 PM – 07:30 PM: Return Transfer to Goa City Hubs
Board your private transfer vehicles for the drive back to North/South Goa beach resorts or Madgaon Junction Railway Station, concluding the monsoon expedition.
