Assemble by 06:00 AM at your pickup point in Delhi/NCR. Travel along NH-44 through Sonipat, Panipat, and Karnal before joining the Himalayan Expressway near Kalka. Stop near Panchkula to explore the 17th-century Mughal terraced fountains at Pinjore Gardens. Climb through Solan into the colonial summer capital of Shimla (7,200 ft) by late afternoon. Check into your hotel, unpack, and freshen up. Spend a relaxed evening walking along the pedestrian Mall Road and The Ridge, taking in panoramic valley views. Dinner and overnight stay in Shimla.

After breakfast, drive up to the mountain resort of Kufri (8,600 ft).
