Tour Itinerary
Begin your spiritual adventure by traveling from Haridwar or Dehradun to Sari Village. The scenic 7-8 hour drive takes you along the holy Ganga and Alaknanda rivers, passing through the majestic confluences at Devprayag and Rudraprayag. Upon reaching the picturesque Sari Village in the afternoon, check in to your homestay or guesthouse. Spend the evening relaxing amidst the serenity of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and enjoying a traditional Garhwali dinner. Overnight stay in Sari Village.
After a healthy breakfast, embark on a short 2.5 km trek to the crystal-clear Deoriatal Lake, famous for its mirror-like reflection of the Chaukhamba peaks. After soaking in the views, trek back down to Sari and drive for about an hour to reach Chopta, often called the "Mini Switzerland of India." Spend the rest of the day acclimatizing to the altitude and watching a breathtaking sunset over the rolling meadows. Overnight stay in camps or a guesthouse in Chopta.
Start your day early with a trek to the world’s highest Shiva temple, Tungnath, to seek blessings and witness the divine atmosphere. Continue your ascent to the Chandrashila Peak for a mesmerizing 360-degree view of Himalayan giants like Nanda Devi and Trishul. After capturing the sunrise and stunning vistas, trek back down to Chopta for a well-deserved lunch and rest. Overnight stay in Chopta.
Today, leave the high altitude of Chopta and drive towards the spiritual town of Gopeshwar in the Chamoli district. Visit the ancient Gopinath Temple, a significant site where Lord Shiva is worshipped in his Nirguna form, and explore the peaceful surroundings of Anusuya Devi or Vaitarni Kund. This day offers a chance to experience the non-touristy, spiritual heart of Chamoli. Overnight stay in a hotel in Gopeshwar or Mandal.
After breakfast, begin your return journey descending towards the river valleys. En route, stop at Karnaprayag to witness the confluence of the Alaknanda and Pindar rivers. Continue towards Rudraprayag and visit the Koteshwar Mahadev cave temple situated on the banks of the Alaknanda river for a moment of tranquility. Check in to your hotel for a restful evening. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag or Srinagar.
On your final day, enjoy breakfast before driving back towards the plains. Make a final photo stop at Devprayag to admire the distinct colors of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers merging into the Ganga. Arrive in Haridwar or Dehradun by evening and proceed to the railway station or airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your memorable trip to the Himalayas.
