Arrive in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala, and begin your journey to Kovalam (approximately 15-20 km), a famous coastal town known for its picturesque beaches. After checking in to your hotel, spend the afternoon relaxing at the famous Lighthouse Beach, where you can enjoy the serene atmosphere and watch the waves lapping the shore. You can take a walk along the beach, enjoy water sports, or simply relax by the sea. As the evening approaches, enjoy the beautiful sunset. Later, indulge in some local seafood at a beachside restaurant and return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Kovalam.
Start your day with a visit to Hawa Beach, which is less crowded and ideal for a quiet morning. You can also visit the Samudra Beach to enjoy the peaceful ambiance and clear waters. Afterward, head to Vizhinjam, a small fishing harbor, where you can visit the Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium or simply relax by the seashore. In the afternoon, drive back to Trivandrum to explore the cultural attractions, including the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, a famous landmark known for its architectural brilliance and spiritual significance. On the third day, check out of your hotel in Kovalam and drive towards Kanyakumari (approximately 2.5 to 3 hours). Kanyakumari, located at the southernmost tip of India, is known for its dramatic sunsets and sunrises. After reaching Kanyakumari, check in to your hotel and head to the Kanyakumari Beach to witness the famous Sunset View over the confluence of the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean. Before the sunset, you can also visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, located on a small island off the coast, accessible by a ferry ride. This historic site offers panoramic views of the ocean and is a place of great significance for both spiritual and historical reasons. Enjoy the sunset and return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Kanyakumari.
Wake up early to experience the breathtaking Sunrise at Kanyakumari, where the first rays of the sun emerge from the ocean, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. Afterward, you can visit the Kanyakumari Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Kanyakumari, and the nearby Gandhi Memorial, where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were kept before immersion.
