Depart Delhi in the morning via the Yamuna Expressway (approx. 3 hours / 160 km). Arrive in Mathura, check into your hotel, and freshen up. In the afternoon, visit the revered Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple, exploring the prison cell (Garbha Griha) believed to be the exact birthplace of Lord Krishna. Continue to the historic Shri Dwarkadhish Temple, Mathura on the banks of the Yamuna River, renowned for its Rajasthani architecture. In the evening, walk to Vishram Ghat to witness the traditional Yamuna Aarti with floating oil lamps. Overnight stay in Mathura.
Take a short morning drive (approx. 20–30 minutes) into Vrindavan. Begin early with darshan at the historic Banke Bihari Temple, where the deity is worshipped in child form, followed by the nearby Radha Raman Temple (housing a self-manifested deity dating back to the 16th century). Visit the marble-pillared ISKCON Temple (Krishna Balaram Mandir) before taking midday downtime during temple afternoon rest hours. Later, visit Keshi Ghat and conclude your evening at Prem Mandir to view the illuminated Italian marble complex and the musical water fountain show. Overnight stay in Mathura/Vrindavan.
Check out after breakfast and drive south to Agra (approx. 1.5 hours / 60 km). Check into your hotel. In the afternoon, explore the massive red sandstone walls of Agra Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site), visiting the Jahangiri Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, and Musamman Burj, where Emperor Shah Jahan spent his final years gazing at the Taj Mahal. In the late afternoon, head to Mehtab Bagh (the Moonlight Garden) directly across the Yamuna River for sweeping sunset views of the Taj Mahal without the interior crowds. Overnight stay in Agra.
Begin before dawn to experience the Taj Mahal at sunrise, admiring the morning light reflecting off the white Makrana marble and intricate pietra dura inlay work. Return to your hotel for breakfast and check out. Visit the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula ("Baby Taj"), celebrated for its delicate latticework and riverside setting. En route back to Delhi, stop at Tomb of Akbar the Great in Sikandra to admire its blend of Islamic, Hindu, and Buddhist architectural motifs. Continue along the expressway to Delhi (approx. 3.5 hours) for drop-off at your airport, railway station, or residence.
