Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day : 1  Arrival in Paro - Transfer to Thimphu

    Arrive at Paro International Airport and meet your guide for the drive to Thimphu. On the way, visit the Tachogang Lhakhang iron chain bridge. After checking in at your hotel in Thimphu, visit the Tashichho Dzong, a striking fortress and monastery. Spend the evening exploring the Thimphu market.

  • Day : 2  Thimphu Sightseeing

    Start your day at the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to world peace. Next, visit the Buddha Dordenma, a massive statue with spectacular valley views, and then head to the Folk Heritage Museum and National Textile Museum to immerse yourself in Bhutanese culture. Visit the Takin Preserve to see Bhutan’s national animal and end your day at the Changangkha Lhakhang, one of Thimphu's oldest temples.

  • Day : 3  Thimphu - Punakha

    Drive to Punakha, passing through the scenic Dochula Pass, where you can see the 108 memorial chortens and, on a clear day, breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. Upon arrival, visit the Punakha Dzong, the majestic fortress at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Later, take a short hike to the Chimi Lhakhang, known as the Fertility Temple.

  • Day : 4  Punakha Exploration

    Begin with a visit to the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a picturesque stupa with commanding views over the Punakha Valley. Afterward, explore the Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, which offers a peaceful retreat and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Spend the evening enjoying the serene ambiance of Punakha.

  • Day : 5  Punakha - Paro

    After breakfast, drive back to Paro, stopping at Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan. Upon arrival in Paro, visit the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the most sacred temples in the country. In the evening, take a leisurely walk around Paro town.

  • Day : 6  Paro - Hike to Tiger’s Nest

    Set out on a hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a cliffside. After returning to Paro, visit the Ta Dzong, now the National Museum of Bhutan, followed by a tour of the Paro Rinpung Dzong. Spend your evening exploring the local shops and cafes in Paro.

  • Day : 7  Departure from Paro

    After a final breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure, leaving Bhutan with lasting memories of this interesting journey through Paro, Thimphu, and Punakha.
